“AI 2023: Generative AI and Beyond” by Dr. William Kao

Talk Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence is technology’s hottest talking point of 2023, having rapidly gained traction amongst businesses, professionals and consumers.

Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence technology that broadly describes machine learning systems capable of generating text, images, code or other types of content, often in response to a prompt entered by a user. Generative AI models learn the patterns and structure of their input training data and then generate new data that has similar characteristics.

In this seminar Dr. Kao will discuss machine learning methods used by Generative AI (supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning) , and current GAI capabilities, limitations and applications.

While generative AI has great potential to enable competitive differentiation, several other emerging AI technologies also offer immense potential. In this seminar Dr. Kao   will present and discuss several new emergent AI technologies such as Causal AI, Composite AI, Neuro-symbolic AI, Responsible AI, Federated AI, and AI TRISM (Trust, Risk, and Security Management).

Come and join us for this interesting and informative AI technical seminar.
