Talk Abstract:
Transformative Technologies refer to innovations that have a profound impact on society, economy, or industry. They can disrupt traditional business models, drive efficiency improvements, and reshape industries by introducing new capabilities or opportunities.

This seminar talk will focus on five important Transformative Technologies that will transform your digital future:

1.    Satellite Communications, constellations will provide ubiquitous global broadband, phone and IoT coverage

2.    Digital Humans will create new types of companions, assistants, therapists and entertainers.

3.    Adaptive AI will enable massively increased use of drones and robots in various situations.

4.    Tiny ambient IoT (Internet of Things), this enables tagging, tracking and sensing of anything without the complexity or cost of battery-powered devices.

5.    Secure Computation, this is becoming vitally important as things become increasingly connected and as ecosystems access more personal information. It enables data to be exploited without compromising privacy.

The talk  will also mention briefly five other technologies to watch:  Programmable Photonics, New Processor Technologies, New Internet Protocol, Next Generation Networking and Graphene.
